Here is a very unique piece of vintage advertising! This Planters Peanut container is exactly that - a Planters peanut. It is made of a pressed paper / cardboard type of material, which really allow the piece to show a lot of details like the different ridges in the peanut shell. The container opens up at one end, which allowed up to 1 Lb of peanuts to be stored inside. Overall the peanut is in nice condition, considering it's age and the materials used in manufacturing. Many of these did not survive over the years, because the paper is so fragile and can get ruined by so many different factors. This one still has nice color, with Timor damage, and the "Planters" writing / script is still very legible on each side.The peanut measures approx. 12" x 6".
