Our Story

We are The Vintastic Company (VintasticCo.) — a family-run vintage business born out of a lifelong love of hunting for hidden treasures. We are Laura and Joel, and we have been picking and collecting for many years. In 2016 we turned our passion into a full-fledged business. What started as a weekend flea market stand has grown into a trusted vintage destination with over 12,000 sales and more than 3,000 five-star reviews from happy collectors just like you.

We operate near Hershey, Pennsylvania, a region that gives us extraordinary access to some of the richest vintage hunting grounds in the country — Lancaster County, Amish and Mennonite communities, Gettysburg, rural Americana, estate sales, and local auctions. We also maintain two co-op antique stands in the area: The Olde Factory and Schoolhouse Antiques.

How We Curate Our Collection

Not everything old is worth keeping — and that's exactly why curation matters. Every item in our shop has been personally selected by Laura based on quality, character, and collectibility. Here's how we find what we sell:

• Estate Sales & Auctions — We attend local and regional sales to find pieces with genuine provenance and history.
• Flea Markets & Yard Sales — We hit the circuit regularly, including the Brooklyn Flea and regional Pennsylvania markets.
• Private Collections — Sometimes the best finds come from families ready to pass their treasures on to new homes.
• Online Auctions — after COVID, many auctions moved online. We mine these sales for unique items to offer to you.

Authenticity & Condition

We believe in honest, transparent descriptions. Every listing includes:

• Accurate condition notes, including any flaws, chips, crazing, or wear consistent with age
• Measurements and photos from multiple angles
• Our best assessment of era, maker, and origin based on our experience and research
• Vintage and antique items are sold as found — we do not restore or artificially age pieces
• Authentic — nothing in our curated collection is made in China or other countries that would date items as "too new"

Meet Our Family

Laura works part-time as an Executive Admin but is full-time Vintastic employee at heart. She dreams of one day retiring to a vintage stand near the beach. Joel is a technology professor and Vintastic gives him the opportunity to do e-commerce not just teach it. Evan is our youngest child and is now a manager at a botanical garden and arboretum.

Vintastic really took off after our three children reached adulthood. Our kids now live in Pennsylvania, Brooklyn, and Las Vegas — but our family's travel adventures have taken us around the globe to places like New Zealand, Europe, and Central America.
