Wonderful vintage Mercury glass clip on bird Christmas ornament, circa 1950s.The bird has nicely molded feather and wing details. It is silver in color with hand painted magenta and greens accents and a pointed beak. The tail feathers are white plastic and are adorned with gold glitter as well.It measures 4.5 inches long, beak tip to tail end. The blown glass body is almost 3 inches. There is a spring attached to the rectangular unmarked metal clip. It is in good vintage condition free of major chips, cracks, or breaks. There is some minor paint loss and the usual oxidation at the tail end and clip. Also, the area where the tail meets the tail feathers is nicked. Still displays very well. What a beautiful and striking vintage glass bird ornament. A fabulous addition to any antique ornament collection, a thoughtful gift for the bird lover!5
