A very cool vintage Beacon Two Twenty Five Film Camera, in good vintage used condition with very light ware.

Box is in its original box. Box in good vintage condition sit-up. With minor wear to the corners.

The camera is made of plastic bakelite with a built-in view finder and a telescoping lens. The name “Two-Twenty Five” is clearly a reference to the 2.25” square image size taken by the camera, which was the only camera in the range that took photos of this size. This camera came in multiple colors including black, white, beige, turquoise and red.

Camera measures

Willa slo include several pamphlets/brochures about the camera.

The Beacon Two-Twenty Five Camera was manufactured from approximately 1950 to 1959 by Whitehouse Products Inc., of Brooklyn New York.

It is capable of capturing 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch (6 x 6 cm) exposures on number 620 roll film. It was fitted with a 70mm Whitar coated air-spaced doublet f/12 lens and a simple shutter providing a single instantaneous speed of approximately 1/50 and also time setting. It has two aperture settings for color or black and white film. It features a safety lock shutter to prevent accidental exposures, a red window in back to view exposure count.

This camera was part of a camera collection, that was acquired at an estate auction in Lebanon County, PA.

These vintage cameras are sold as untested. We examine all the dials, buttons, levers, film compartment, viewfinder, lenses, and lens mount for broken or missing parts. However we do not test the camera with film so we cannot determine issues such as light sensitivity.

A wonderful addition to a camera collection.
